Given the nature of the software we use, particularly in light of Game Engines or other software, please can we make it a general habit to include version numbers of any external software that is being used.

For example, Unreal Engine 4.12.5 was just released.  I don't know whether I should be working the examples with a 4.11.* version or not.  Fortunately I discovered notes further on in some (very well written) instructions, but it would be handy to know from the outset.

It's a horrible twinge when I go to build project files and suddenly realise that I'm not sure what version I should be building it with.
